Titanium axles will decrease your unsuspended weight. Our axles are equal to strength to steel but the hardness is less. For this reason we recommend the application of a protective coating. In past years, Teflon or Titanium Nitride was used for the coating but does not hold up to the punishment encountered from aggressive riding. Mettec now offers an aerospace derived coating called Quadralloy. Quadralloy increases the surface hardness and reduces the wear caused by the bearing contact point on the axle surface. By increasing the surface hardness wear is reduced but not stopped. 
Ducati Titanium Front and Rear Axles 

Mettec Ducati front axles are made with a new high strength titanium alloy with a Minimum UTS of 195,000psi. Good enough for space craft and jet fighters, and is a stronger replacement than Titanium 6/4 which only has Minimum UTS 160,000psi. Mettec applies our proprietary hard coating to the outside surface called Quadralloy. Quadralloy will reduce wear between bearing race and axle surface. Call with model and year.

Titanium Brake Line Banjo Bolts 
  Mettec titanium banjo bolts will remove unsprung weight while making your machine look really trick. Notice safety wire holes are pre drilled for your convenience. Reducing weight provides more precise handling and less rider fatigue at the end of a race. Weight saved per bolt is .03lb (10 grams). When ordering specify which thread pitch you require for your brake calipers.

The majority of Mettec fasteners have forged heads to increase fatigue strength. Mettec fasteners feature rolled threads. Exhaust Heat Shield Bolts
These particular bolts have a flat head for a low drag look. They sink back so you do not have to worry about getting your foot caught on that area. Titanium bolts replace the collars and washers so the weight savings is very significant compared to stock fasteners. They also make the panel jump out at you more than the factory black bolts.

The subframe needs these bolts. They have a flat top so you don’t need to worry about getting your suit or pants caught on them. They flow very well with the rest of the bike kit. They also have a shoulder on them to make the bolts fit more readily into the stock frame without any room to shift around.

These bolts are part of our original lineup that have forged heads and rolled threads. The tapered socket head bolts really cut through the weight by saving 55 grams on the calipers alone!
